Wood carved and gilded empire trumeau mirror
Description
Wood carved empire trumeau mirror from ± 1800 – 1820. The gold frame of gold leaf gilded wood carving decorated with palmettes and rosettes. Trumeau mirrors were the mirrors above a fireplace in the panelling.
This antique mirror has old glass with light weathering from ± 1900 (original glass was in 2 parts).
