Primitive hand-carved wooden Naga table

Description

Late 19th or early 20th century primitive hand-carved wooden Naga table.

A naga table is a hand-carved table from Nagaland, India and was originally used by the Naga tribes of Northeast India as a grinding table for grains. The three holes in the center are where the grains were ground into using long sticks.

This tribal table is carved from one piece of wood and although the surface is not completely flat, it serves beautifully as a coffee table. It’s a perfect statement piece that adds warmth and texture at the same time.
