Pair of carved limestone garden figures: Apollo and Diana

Pair of sculptural limestone figures from the second half of the 20th century. The Apollo and Diana figures are life-size and depict a contrasting scene: one nude, the other draped, both with their hunting equipment and accompanied by a hound at their side.

The figures stand on 80 cm-high pedestals (62 cm square), giving a total height of approximately 250 cm. With their detailed craftsmanship, classical theme, and impressive size, these sculptures make a striking centerpiece in a garden, entrance hall, or large interior. An exceptional example of 20th-century figurative limestone sculpture.
