Pair of antique Baroque sandstone garden ornaments with fruit basket and grotesque masks

Pair of antique Baroque sandstone garden vases with fruit baskets and grotesque masks. These tall vase ornaments probably come from Germany or Austria and are definately Baroque, around 1740. Because of their height, they could have served as gatekeepers or gate vases at a large estate. They are sculpted as a pair and appear to have two manuscripts, which could mean they were carved side by side by two sculptors. It’s nice that the facial expressions of the masks differ on both sides. There are old damages that are appropriate for the age and do not detract from the character of the vases. They are weatherproof.
