Osvaldo Borsani, Italian Design Sideboard, 1950s
Description
Mahogany cabinet by Italian designer Osvaldo Borsani (1911-1985). Borsani studied art and architecture in Milan. He became very well-known as a designer of furniture with technical innovations. The mahogany and rosewood surface is very shiny and in a great condition. The keys are made of brass and so is the protection around the feet of the cabinet. The interior of the cupboard is very light, made from maple wood. There are three compartments. The compartments open up to the front. The middle door is inspired by 50’s car grill. The top of the cabinet is covered with marble. The surface is in a beautiful condition and has shades of white, grey and rose in it.
