Late 19th century statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace
A late 19th century statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace. This beautiful antique piece is made of a carrara marble of statuary quality and is a copy of the Hellenistic sculpture of Nike (the Greek goddess of victory), that was created in about the 2nd century BC and has been prominently displayed at the Louvre since 1884. It is one of the most celebrated sculptures in the world.
