Large antique Dutch fireplace in St. Anne marble - 18th/19th century

Description

This impressive antique Dutch marble fireplace in the “Trois Coquilles” model is crafted from St. Anne marble. The front and jambs of this fireplace date back to the 18th century. Typical for this period is the original design without a mantel shelf and side panels. In the 19th century, this fireplace was relocated, and a matching mantel shelf, side panels, and returns were added, using the same St. Anne marble with its characteristic dark grey base and light grey veining. The distinctive veining and subtle color variations of this natural stone give the fireplace a unique appearance with a warm ambiance. The generous dimensions make this large antique fireplace a striking eye-catcher in a classic interior or other suitable living style. The mantel shelf has an old restoration on the top left.
