This secretaire features a black lacquer finish with a stunning white Statuario marble top and a geometric or graphic pattern inlaid with mother-of-pearl, adorned with stars, dots, and floral motifs. The cabinet boasts an elegant curved shape, a fold-out writing desk, and four drawers underneath. Brass details embellish the corners, edges, and keyholes, adding a luxurious touch.
The Chinoiserie influence is evident in the refined details and the exotic appearance of the mother-of-pearl patterns. The key can be used to open the writing desk and drawers. Please note: the drawers cannot be locked as some locks are missing. The writing desk can be locked with some care; the key needs to be inserted with precision. Due to the age of the piece, we have decided not to repair the locks to preserve its original character and the leather interior.
