This rare late 17th century fireplace with trumeau was made in France for a house in the Nancy region. The fireplace is made from French limestone.
The fireplace has a sturdy and robust appearance, but at the same time is very decorative. The fireplace has beautiful architectural and sculptural forms. The fireplace has three profiled cornices, the top of which is decorated with a toothed bar. The fireplace is decorated with a medallion and the trumeau with beautiful panels.
