Beautiful antique taxidermy diorama featuring an elegant ermine (Mustela erminea) in its winter coat, 1920. A work by taxidermist Peter Spicer, a contemporary of the famous Walter Potter.

The diorama is housed in an atmospheric wooden case with a glass front. The natural habitat is recreated with grasses, ferns, and elements that mimic the ermine’s environment, complete with a detailed painted aquarel background adding depth.
