Antique Solarclipse automobile or carriage headlights set

Set of antique Solarclipse headlamps, manufactured by Badger Brass Mfg. Co. Kenosha, Wis. U.S.A. Around the turn of the century, they served as headlights for early automobiles and carriages. They were later converted into atmospheric electric lighting.

The lamps feature a robust, industrial design made of brass and dark metal. The front has a domed glass, with a mirrored reflector behind it. Each lamp is equipped with a carrying handle and stands on three small feet.

With visible original markings: ‘MODEL SOLARCLIPSE’ and patent numbers.
