Description
Antique French mirror from the 19th century with a magnificent gilt (gold) frame.
The frame combines the popular, elegantly rounded upper corners of the Louis Philippe period (Mid-19th Century) with the richly carved ornamentation in Louis XV Style (Rococo). The frame is richly decorated with detailed floral and leaf motifs.
Most striking is the original mirror glass, which has naturally weathered over the years (foxing/erosion). This gives the mirror a deep, authentic, and atmospheric character. The perfect eye-catcher for the wall or standing on the floor.
