Antique French fireback decorated with Susanna and the Elders and dated 1574

A French Henri IV cast iron fireback dated 1574 of pediment rectangular form, the pediment with central relief cast lion’s mask flanked by the date, above a figural scene depicting Susanna and the Elders, cast in low relief with a Greek key border.

102 cm in height, 108 cm in width and 3 cm thick.
