Antique freestone facade pedestal

Description

This freestone façade pedestal has been excavated in a location just outside ‘s Gravenland (Netherlands). From the end of the 18th century onwards rubble and wood came from construction activities in ‘s Gravenland (Netherlands). This antique stone plinth has been excavated and rescued by an attentive crane operator. It could just be that he was once replaced by a much-traveling manor owner, such as Cornelis Tromp van Trompenburgh, who at the time was also in ‘s Gravenland.

Looking at this pedestal, one can see that it has withstood quite a bit. But no less attractive in appearance, this beauty now has a well-deserved chance of a second life.
