Antique intarsia oak commode with geometric patterns. Transition Louis Seize, Paris, ca. 1770.. Stamped / signed under the marble top Joseph Schmitz, furniture maker or ébéniste in Paris (active as maître from June 18, 1761 to his death in 1782 on the Rue de Charonne).

One of the most special pieces from our collection, this antique French chest of drawers with the three drawers and the sides completely inlaid with wood (intarsia) in geometric patterns. The handles, locks and feet are made of brass. The marble top of St. Anne marble.
