Sculpted limestone foot of Mercury
Description
An extra large XXXL carved limestone mythological foot of Mercury, Hermes, after the ancient Roman example, the foot wears a sandal with a bearded man mask.
The statue was sculpted in Italy in ±1990 and used as a ‘conversation piece’ in an interior.
In mythology, Mercury was the patron of the trade and messenger of the gods.
