Burgundy flagstones

Stone floors

Burgundy slabs are French limestone floors quarried in the Burgundy region of France. These floors exude a warm and authentic ambiance, making them perfect for any interior. With a variety of shades—from light broken white to deep brown and gray—they are ideal for larger spaces. The subtle color nuances keep the floor captivating and enhance its beauty over the years.

Historically, these natural stone tiles were often used in manors, castles, and monasteries, which is why they are also known as Cloister Floors or Castle Slabs.
Antique Natural Stone Floors
Our antique Burgundy slabs have naturally weathered over the years, giving them a stunning, rugged appearance. These authentic natural stone floors were originally up to 15 cm thick. We cut them into layers of 3 to 4 cm thick, allowing for easy installation of a beautiful floor. The top layer has a naturally worn surface, while the underlying layer offers a more polished look.

Did you know that Pierre de Bourgogne is still being quarried today? We also offer rough Burgundy slabs, which are approximately 2 cm thick.
Ideal for Underfloor Heating
Burgundy flagstones are French limestone floors mined in the Burgundy region of France. These floors exude a warm and authentic atmosphere, making them perfect for any interior. With a variety of shades—from light broken white to deep brown and gray—they are ideal for larger spaces. The subtle color nuances keep the floor engaging and enhance its beauty over the years.

Historically, these natural stone tiles were commonly used in estates, castles, and monasteries, earning them the nickname “monastery floors” or “castle flagstones.”
Antique Natural Stone Floors
Our antique Burgundy flagstones have naturally weathered over the years, giving them a stunning, rustic appearance. These authentic natural stone floors originally measure up to 15 cm in thickness. We cut them into layers of 3 to 4 cm, allowing you to easily install a beautiful floor. The top layer features a naturally worn surface, while the underlying layer offers a cleaner, more refined look.

Did you know that Pierre de Bourgogne is still being mined? We also offer raw Burgundy flagstones, which have a thickness of approximately 2 cm.
Ideal for Underfloor Heating
Burgundy flagstones are not only timeless but also durable. They fit perfectly into any interior and are particularly suitable for underfloor heating (as long as they are not too thick). Natural stone has excellent heat conductivity and retention, creating a comfortable living environment.
Various Types of Flagstones
At Piet Jonker, we offer a variety of limestone floors, including monastery flagstones, Rhone flagstones, Loire flagstones, and gray flagstones. They are available in different sizes, from small flagstones to large limestone slabs.

If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to contact us or visit our outdoor showroom “Lindenhof” to view the different floors in person. The specialists at Piet Jonker are ready to assist you!
