French limestone floors
Burgundy Flagstones or Pierre de Bourgogne is a collective name for French limestone flooring. These limestone floors are mined in the French region of Burgundy. Because they are mined in a large area, they exist in a large range of shades. From very light, off-white to beige, brown and gray Burgundy slabs. Therefor these natural stone floors are ideal for large areas. Due to the color nuances, the floor continues to fascinate and becomes more beautiful over the years. They provide a warm authentic atmosphere to your interior.
Because these natural stone tiles were often used in estates, castles and monasteries, they are also known as Castle Flagstones or Old Castle Stones or castle slabs.
Antique slabs
The antique slabs have been worn down for centuries, which gives the floor a beautiful, sturdy look. This antique Castle stone floor is originally 15 cm thick. We cut the antique tiles in layers of 3 to 4 centimeters thick. This way it is easy to lay the floor. The first layer of dallen is the top slab and has the naturally rough looking top. The second layer of slabs is smooth on the surface and provides a calmer, sleeker look.
Pierre de Bourgogne is still mined today. So the Burgundy limestone tiles are still being made. You can contact us for these roughened Burgundian Dallen. These dales have a thickness of about 2 cm.
Underfloor heating
Burgundy limestone floors are timeless and last a lifetime. That is why they fit into any interior. In addition, they are ideal for underfloor heating. Natural stone cunduct and retain heat well.
