Piet Jonker Historische Bouwmaterialen offers a comprehensive range of old and antique floors of excellent quality. Think of antique marble floors, old tiles, Burgundian Dallen, old and antique wooden floors and floors of Belgian hard stone.
Antique marble floors were common in old Dutch houses, for example in canal houses. We regularly buy lots of antique marble, both hand-cut and sawn. We sort the marble by size and type and clean it.A large part of our range of old tiles comes from France. The antique tiles, also called screeds, have a wide variety of color nuances and structures. When we receive these tiles, we clean them and sort them by color and size. This creates a good quality batch of antique tiles.
The real, authentic Burgundian Dallen are mined in Burgundy, one of the 26 regions in France. These natural stone tiles, or rather floor slabs, were often used in estates, castles and monasteries. They are therefore also known as Kloosterdallen or Kasteeldallen.
Wooden floors are an important part of Piet Jonker’s range. An old wooden floor radiates warmth and atmosphere, whether it be a simple wide cheese board, a tranquil oak plank floor or a chic antique panel parquet that has become even more beautiful in decades and by hundreds of feet. In our range you will find wide oak parts, aged and grayed oak, antique oak herringbone, old pine floorboards and more.
Belgian limestone has been used in Dutch houses for centuries. It is pre-eminently a popular building material for floors, stairs and kitchen tops. It is full of fossils and has a unique blue-gray hue.
Come to Piet Jonker for an old or antique floor that suits your taste and interior!
