Antique fireplaces
Every house, big or small, used to have a fireplace. An antique mantlepiece is one of the most essential elements in an antique building. This has not changed for us, although fireplaces are no longer required for the actual heating, it still completes the interior. A fireplace is the center of an interior around which all the fun takes place.
Our collection of antique mantlepieces, in marble, limestone or sandstone, is particularly large. We can supply a mantlepiece to suit everyone’s taste. From 17th-century limestone fireplaces consisting of a sturdy profile to decorative 18th-century marble fireplaces in Louis XIV, Rococo or Louis XVI style.
Antique marble fireplace
An antique marble fireplace gives an interior atmosphere and allure. We have marble fireplaces in the most diverse forms. such as an antique fireplace in simple black marble to a “trois cocquilles” fireplace in white Carrara marble. But also the most richly carved fireplaces of exclusive marbles in the most beautiful green, pink or yellow colourings.
Antique sandstone fireplace
Antique sandstone or limestone fireplaces are often simpler and more robust than antique marble fireplaces. That is why these old sandstone fireplaces have a rural character and give the interior a warm, cozy atmosphere. Due to its soft attractive appearance and easy color, a sandstone fireplace is attractive in many types of interiors.
You will find antique sandstone fireplaces in many different styles and sizes at our ‘Lindenhof’ country estate. Such as 17th century fireplaces consisting of a sturdy profile, simple sandstone kitchen fireplaces or original monumental castle fireplaces, possibly with a trumeau. We also supply finer elegant decorative fireplaces.
Two types of mantle pieces
We have two types of mantle pieces. Mantels to place against the chimney breasts and mantles with deeper sides to place around the chimney breast.
