Piet Jonker: specialist in old building materials, fireplaces and antique floors

Piet Jonker Historic Building Materials has a reputation going back decades as a supplier of an extensive range of high quality old building materials. Our strength? We search out and, where necessary, restore some of the most exclusive antique building materials such as fireplaces, floors, floorboards, mirrors, lighting, interior, bathroom fixtures and fittings, tiles, garden statues and ornaments.
Our company's foundation was laid forty years' ago with beautiful antique handmade tiles and other floors full of character, such as old marble or solid stone floors. To this day, we still sort these old building materials and floors on size, colour, age and quality. This means that the materials are not only easier to use, but also that the end result is more consistent and attractive.

Age-old wooden floors or antique stone floors - such as terracotta floor tiles, marble floors, limestone Burgundy flagstones or Belgian stone - give each room or interior ‘a soul'. Whether your home interior has an antique or modern touch, or a combination of both, the character will be largely determined by the floor. In our vision, it is the floor which forms the basis for any interior.

Antique fireplaces were the next logic step in the expansion of our range of old building materials. The floor is the basis, but an antique fireplace is the heart of a warm interior.

On this website we would like to introduce you to our extensive collection. We have a large collection of not only antique marble fireplaces, but also limestone and sandstone fireplaces too. At our country house "Lindenhof" you will fine over three hundred antique fireplaces, in all styles, colours and sizes, from simple to original, historic castle fireplaces.

Over the years we have continued to expand our range. Additions have included mirrors, chandeliers, door furniture, fencing, earthenware, hand basins, washbasins, bath tubs, ornaments, ponds and a large collection of garden statues and other garden antiques. All our items have one thing in common: only the best materials are considered for inclusion in our constantly changing collection. Minor imperfections are skilfully restored in our studio, and if you require lots of original small white tiles we will make them ourselves. One by one, by hand, in the same way they did in the eighteenth century.

We hope that our website will provide you with a source of inspiration and that we will soon have the pleasure of welcoming you in our showroom.
